PACE Atlantic CIC welcomes our newest board member Susan MacDougall, MSc., ICD.D

PACE Atlantic CIC is excited to announce our newest board member, Susan MacDougall, MSc., ICD.D. Susan is an exceptional individual who has a wealth of experience acting on numerous boards of directors/governors. She has always been incredibly passionate about the betterment of Nova Scotian communities; leading many initiatives to improve the lives of those around her. She currently serves as Chair of NSLC’s Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, and acts as a board member for the Audit & Finance Committee of Acadia University and the Town of Kentville. Susan plans to continue her legacy of positive community impact with the PACE Atlantic CIC Board of Directors.

Susan is the current CEO of the Windsor Elms Village (a long-term care community in Nova Scotia) and brings a strong spirit of leadership and innovation to her endeavours. Her organization has recently partnered with Research Nova Scotia on a UVC Light Research Project. This research aims to better understand the potential that ultraviolet light can have in enhancing infection control outcomes in areas of vulnerable populations. Under her leadership, she successfully guided Windsor Elms Village through some of the most challenging times in world history. Despite these pandemic operational challenges, she also led a deep energy retrofit of the facility that reduced energy and GHG’s by more than 60% through efficiency, solar and advanced battery technologies.

Julian Boyle, President said “We are excited to have Susan join our team to help PACE Atlantic CIC continue to scale and reduce carbon emissions in communities across Canada”.
